FOOD!! One of the best things about thru-hiking is that you can basically eat whatever you want. When you are hiking 20 miles a day your thoughts are "What am I going to eat next?" and "What am I going to eat when I get into town?" Here is the answer to the later: The Fat Pat! This concoction consists of biscuits and gravy, bacon, ham, 3 fried eggs, and hash browns. I am pretty sure I took a nap after eating this...
I have yet to encounter a BIG rattlesnake but I have had some encounters that get my heart going. In addition to the snakes, I have seen TONS of lizards of every shape and size. I would say roughly 100 a day!
Lastly I I've hit some big milestones and can't believe how far I've gone. I cannot express how much I appreciate everyone's support!
