College Street Brass Band

College Street Brass Band Logo

College Street Brass Band holds its origins in the annual Stoltz family crawfish boil.  Originally from New Orleans, Joseph and his family have been hosting a Louisiana style crawfish boil for the past 14 years for their friends and family in Iowa City.  To complete the cajun feel, Joseph started a New Orleans style Brass Band to play every year.  Since its inception, the band has had over 10 players who regularly play with the group.  They have played at The Mill's Mardi Gras Carnaval party and have made many appearances at the University of Iowa's Annual Science Thursday event.  Most notably, they played at 2021 International UCI Cyclocross World Cup, Jinglecross, at the Johnson County fairgrounds which was televised all over the world.
