After 6 days and 77 miles of hiking, I finally had a chance to share some of my journey so far!
I've learned a few important things so far on the PCT.
Don't camp in the open next to a stream, you will wake up with a wet sleeping bag.
You don't sweat in the desert, you salt.
At the end of the day, ANY food taste good.
Don't put your lunch in the bottom of your pack, you will have to unpack your whole bag to get to it!
The trail is filled with countless people who want to help you.
I've met people from Germany, Netherlands, England, Australia, The Czech Republic, France, Sweden, Canada and Denmark. Even with all these cultures and languages, it seems we are all on the trail for quite similar reasons. Each day I learn about different cultures and I am provided with ample opportunities to think more about my own and what I value.
While I am already sore, stinky and very sweaty, I cannot wait for the next few months. Here are a few more photos from my journey so far.

Looks like you’ve got some great company and glorious scenery! Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Thanks for the report. Glad it is going well. Good start on your way to Canada.
